This is a real hit and miss. Often times this is a very artsy film that goes out of its way to try and say important things about a desensitized generation. Other times its a very long and drawn out film that seems to lose its way and go nowhere. There are some intersting characters that are supported through some great performances, particually Michael Pitt as a killer. I also enjoyed the role reversal of the helpless woman who needs help from the male to the helpless male who needs the woman to be strong for him. However it does get a little to full of itself at times and drags on scenes that seem to be just eating up time. As well as 90 percent of the script going around in circles that get very very tiring after about half of the movie. They also decide to break the 4th wall which I highly disagreed with. Instead of the audience looking at this as though through a fishbowl they pull us into it and make us decide how we would handle a situation like this which is much less interesting than having us view it as a statement on horror movies in the now. Never the less this movie makes a valient effort to be different and atleast it succeeds there.
