It doesn’t feel like a serious effort. The actors are good enough and portray their parts with enough energy and simplicity to keep you entertained but the story feels like its moving too fast for us to create any sort of connection with any of the characters. They come and go and leave us with a feeling of wait what happend to that character they were just talking about 5 minutes ago. They then reappear and we are supposed to remember who they were which wouldn’t be a problem if we could. I also felt like instead of seeing how a certain character was actually involved in B.I.G.’s life, were supposed to go “Oh hey look, there’s Lil Kim. Cool.” There was never a point where I actually felt involved in this movie at all.
