This season had about the same entertainment value of the first. Which is good because the first season was awesome, but at the same time a little dissapointing because I was expecting much more. It was nearly the same tone wise, with all of the stylistic elements remaining the same which again work beautifully with all the characters and storylines. The writing remained at the same level as well as the personalities of the characters. Hall once again steals the show and delves deeper into this character. There are a few plot devices that seemed they needed a little retooling however. I felt that the whole thing with exploring his past should have been left in the first season. They are constantly going back with flashbacks that seem like they add nothing to the story until about the last 2 episodes. And even then the payoff isn’t all that spectacular with that storyline. But the evolution of the show did go interesting places, I was just hoping for a little more freshness rather than just a repeat of the first season.
